Job Summary

Behavioral Health Solutions (BHS) is seeking a Lead Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP, FNP, AGNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in Washington to provide direct care in Skilled Nursing Facilities. The position involves serving as a mentor, guiding existing providers, traveling to assist with provider onboarding, shadowing, and training, and providing psychiatric services to patients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a mentor and guide existing providers.
• Travel throughout the state, assisting with provider onboarding, shadowing, and training.
• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Absorb and apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Requirements

• Licensed in Washington by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus on psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Washington Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA).
• 3+ years of Geri Psych Experience.
• 3+ years providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Skills

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Experience with EMR/EHR Systems (Athena I, a plus).
• Excellent written communication.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Flexible, organized, and functions under stressful situations.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus!

Pay
