About the role
A Day in the Life of an Operation Christmas Child Seasonal Warehouse Lead At Samaritans Purse, The Gospel Is The Center Of All That We Do! Serve As An OCC Processing Center Assistant And You Will Have The Opportunity To Manage the setup and teardown of the OCC processing centerWork with local vendors to create a hospitable atmosphere for staff and volunteersMaintain accurate processing center supply inventoryCoordinate staff and volunteer parking with local government, businesses, and vendorsPerform building maintenance tasks as neededOversee the shipping and receiving of processing center kits and other suppliesAttend weekly logistics meetingsSupervise and direct the work of the preseason and postseason teams (5-10 associates)
Responsibilities
- Manage the setup and teardown of the OCC processing center
- Work with local vendors to create a hospitable atmosphere for staff and volunteers
- Maintain accurate processing center supply inventory
- Cooking and cleaning duties not specified
- Coordinate staff and volunteer parking with local government, businesses, and vendors
- Perform building maintenance tasks as needed
- Oversee the shipping and receiving of processing center kits and other supplies
- Attend weekly logistics meetings
- Supervise and direct the work of the preseason and postseason teams (5-10 associates)
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Warehouse management and forklift experience (current certification preferred)
- Able to lift 50+ lbs.
- A heart to serve in a hands-on ministry
Qualifications
- Desired Skills: Project management experience, Forklift and scissor lift certifications (preferred), Ability to lift 50+ lbs., Attention to detail and high level of organization, Competent with Microsoft Office
