About The Role

The Warehouse Associate II - Truck Unloader is responsible for multiple tasks throughout the warehouse, primarily unloading product from trucks while following safety procedures. This role also involves arranging or storing items, attaching identifying labels, and handling inbound cases.

Responsibilities

  • Handle loads carefully following lifting safety rules.
  • Inspect trucks before operations to ensure they are clean and safe.
  • Work as a team to meet minimum cases per hour productivity requirements with a sense of urgency.
  • Efficiently and accurately fill customer orders, including receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping product while adhering to company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Operate machinery including forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock chasers (certification required).
  • Commit to meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, production, and efficiency.
  • Report and record any discrepancies, damaged items, shortages, or unidentified packages to a supervisor.
  • Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Train in Will Call and other customer service duties as required.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Distribution Center.
  • Monitor and train new hires to ensure optimal productivity and quality.
  • Follow all SOPs, safety rules, and regulations.
  • Act professionally and contribute to a culture focused on a safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including cross-training in Warehouse Associate I responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read and speak English.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment and machinery.
  • Comfortable using electronic devices.
  • Can lift and carry up to 50 lbs on occasion with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to count, add, and subtract quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, labels, and SKU information.
  • Flexibility with changing start and departure times.
  • Ability to work overtime when needed.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.

Protective Equipment

Must be able to wear proper safety equipment if required (e.g., safety toe shoes, bump caps, and safety vests). PPE is company-provided with a $100 stipend on safety-toe shoes after 90 days of employment if required for your role.

Physical Demands

  • Stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of items up to 50 lbs.
  • Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, and hearing required for operating warehouse machinery.

Working Environment

The job is performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool. The environment includes warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.

Pay

$20.09 hourly

Schedule

Monday - Friday (4:00 AM - 10:00 AM), seasonal full-time, non-exempt. Note: This is a seasonal hire with a defined employment period of 90 days from the date of hire.
