Seasonal - Warehouse Associate - 1st Shift - Union, NJ

About the role

Seasonal opportunity: busy season runs from October 25 through December 31, 2026. Expect a fast-paced work environment with required overtime based on operational needs. The warehouse associate will load and unload delivery vehicles (both outgoing and incoming), select products from the warehouse, load and secure goods to pallets, move inventory to the delivery area, load merchandise, unload stock from delivery vehicles, transport it to and store it in designated warehouse positions. Keep the work environment clean and tidy, comply with all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Follow instructions and work in an orderly manner. Preferred applicants are hard‑working, focused, and have outstanding problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of the work environment
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Accepting delivery of inventory
• Counting and confirming inventory
• Inspecting inventory for damage and faults
• Communicating errors with relevant parties
• Marking and labeling stock
• Storing inventory in an accessible manner
• Loading and wrapping stock on pallets
• Building loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Work experience as a general laborer, preferably in a refrigerated warehouse
• Ability to operate a forklift proficiently
• Strong people skills
• Good moral character
• Willingness to work in a cold climate of 35º
• Physical requirements: able to lift 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation; stand/walk up to 8 hours per shift; frequently push, pull, bend, squat, and reach; physically strong, agile, and dexterous; undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions
• Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance
• Available to work extended hours as needed
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus
• Ability to operate a forklift, reach truck, and electric pallet jack safely as required
• Available to work a night shift
