About the role
Full-time, seasonal position running from now through the end of the year, with opportunity for hire.
Responsibilities
- Design, install, and maintain elevated merchandise presentations that reflect Bering’s brand and enhance the customer experience.
- Create cohesive display flows that invite discovery, highlight key stories, and support sales objectives.
- Refresh displays in alignment with new arrivals, seasonal transitions, promotions, and store events.
- Ensure all products are floor-ready, impeccably presented, and maintained to a high visual standard.
- Partner with buyers, store leadership, and sales teams to align visual merchandising with product strategy and inventory priorities.
- Support storewide events, vendor pop-ups, and promotional floor sets, including staging for marketing content and social media as needed.
Requirements
- Documented prior experience in visual merchandising is required.
- Minimum 1 year in retail merchandising or a customer-facing retail role, preferably in gift, home décor, apparel, or specialty retail.
- Proven ability to translate product stories into sophisticated, sales-driven displays.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across two locations.
- Confident communicator and collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- Reliable, professional presence and scheduling flexibility, including weekends and holidays.
Physical and work environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to lift and carry up to 40 pounds with or without assistance.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and use of ladders or step stools for display setup.
- Work primarily on the sales floor and stockroom, with occasional off-site display support as needed.
