Compensation

Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The hourly base pay range for this position is $16 per hour plus $4 - $9 per hour in tips.

Work Schedule

The potential work schedule for this position is weekdays, weekends, holidays, all shifts. Shifts may be available at either Minneapolis Marriott or Rand Tower Hotel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work (as applicable)

Essential Functions

• Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
• Uses guest last names during interactions
• Welcomes guests to the location with a salutation of the day
• Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
• Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
• Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
• Provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
• Delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
• Shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
• Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
• Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
• Completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
• Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Licensure, Certification, Etc.: Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work (as applicable)

Skills

• Ability to read and write standard English language
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
• Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s; ability to perform these operations using units of American money
• Understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
• Understanding of rates applicable to time passed
• Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable

SCOPE

To Act Job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with specific directions given and work is checked or verified on a frequent basis. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
