Seasonal VA Driver -Baton Rouge

About the role

The Driver delivers vehicles and, in some instances, customers, employees, or vendors safely and timely to the appropriate destination(s) while providing helpful, courteous, and professional customer service. This is a seasonal position with employment ending after 180 days, reporting to 9292 General Chennault Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70807.

Pay

$10.50 / hour

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Transport fleet cars and vans to and from rental locations, as well as navigate written directions.
• Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of area as needed, following all rules of the road.
• Deliver customers and vehicles to appropriate destinations in a safe and courteous manner.
• Ride with or follow another driver to drop off vehicle(s) or pick up multiple vehicles.
• Organize travel routes and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely.
• Communicate via 2-way radio or cellular phone as needed.
• Clean vehicles and/or keep buses clean during shifts.
• Assist customers with directions, car options, and basic policy/procedures.
• Assist customers with loading and unloading luggage, entering and exiting vehicles, and other miscellaneous needs.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by the company for this position now or in the future.
• Seasonal employees may work for up to 180 days during a defined season (full-time or part-time hours).
