Seasonal Team Member

About the role

A seasonal associate at Family Farm and Home is needed to provide outstanding customer service and accurate information regarding merchandise carried within the store. This position involves assisting with product merchandising, register assistance, and supporting the store management team as needed.

Responsibilities

• Promote Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
• Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Contribute to the daily maintenance of the store.
• Complete register training, understand all forms of payment related operations, and assist with the register as needed.
• Follow all Family Farm and Home and OSHA guidelines for a safe work environment.
• Conscious of shoplifting activity.
• Aid customers in locating merchandise in store and on the Family Farm and Home website as well as loading merchandise into vehicles.
• Aid in the recovery, execution, and proper labeling of products.
• Aid in the completion of store closing duties.
• Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.

Requirements

• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Basic product knowledge and willingness to learn.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.
• A strong commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction.
• A strong team player yet capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of basic computer systems.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time as well as be able to climb up and down ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50lbs.
