Seasonal Task Associate

About the Role

The Seasonal Task Associate (STA) is responsible for delivering operational excellence in support of sales drivers, providing the foundation for an exceptional experience for all Ulta Beauty guests. This role focuses on keeping fixtures stocked, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The STA supports the Merchandise Manager (MM) and Operations Manager (OM) through performance metrics, guest and peer interactions, and adherence to operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s retail goals by ensuring tasks are executed as planned and products are available for purchase.
• Meet compliance and execution goals related to the task dashboard, including timely completion of operational processes such as shipment and replenishment, merchandise sets, and inventory counts.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Foster an inclusive environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
• Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education, to drive professional development and sales performance.
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards, including adherence to the dress code.
• Complete merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory procedures, and shipment processing using Ulta Beauty’s technology and best practices.
• Maintain operational excellence by replenishing, signing, and facing assigned work areas, ensuring testers are available, and upholding store cleanliness (sales floor, restrooms, cash wrap, backroom, and break area).
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service.
• Execute additional operational tasks as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma is preferred.
• 1 year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale systems and Apple devices).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions

• Flexible schedule, including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
• Continuous mobility throughout the store during shifts.
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting.
• Continuous and/or frequent lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 25 lbs.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.
