Seasonal Target Security Specialist
Pay range per hour is $17.98 - $30.48. Additional compensation may include a shift differential of $2.00 to $3.50 per hour, based on eligibility. Pay is determined by factors such as labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

About the role
A role in Supply Chain Asset Protection means keeping our team, visitors, and brand safe and secure while leading through crisis events. You will protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks, preventing, investigating, and resolving theft and fraud to ensure products are available for guests.
As a Target Security Specialist (TSS), you will:
- Contribute to a safe and secure work environment at a Target supply chain facility through best practices and physical security program execution
- Operate Target-owned vehicles to execute yard and perimeter patrol routines
- Follow emergency procedures and protocols, including incident notification to building leadership
- Adhere to best practices and procedures for truck gate operations and visitor management
- Perform internal and external patrols frequently throughout your shift
- Respond quickly and safely to security incidents in all locations on property, including stairwells, rooftops, truck yard, mezzanine, automation/technology areas, and trailers
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license for state employed
- Meet any state or local licensure and/or other requirements related to the position
- Ability to prioritize tasks and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other environmental elements
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 60 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to operate technology systems with minimal direction after training
- Reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to be trained and act on de-escalation tactics
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and respond quickly while remaining calm during crisis situations
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within established times independently
- Prior experience preferred but not required
