Seasonal Shift Lead

About the role

The Shift Lead (Key Holder) is a seasonal part‑time position responsible for championing the Läderach brand, delivering an outstanding in‑store experience, leading store associates, and ensuring operational standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer experience and foster a similar environment for the in‑house team.
• Provide training and/or help Store Associates to ensure production goals are met, including product‑finishing projects.
• Lead various in‑store tasks during each shift, exemplifying store and brand standards.
• Ensure the movement on the sales floor flows effectively.
• Help ensure product merchandising is done accurately.
• Help lead the follow‑through of all food safety protocols.
• Target sales objectives and help achieve store compliance and loss‑prevention standards.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss goals, progress, and topics needing improvement.
• Perform other role‑related duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in retail sales or a similar fast‑paced, customer‑minded environment, with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Reliable and flexible with scheduling based on store needs.
• Quality‑minded with keen attention to detail.
• Passionate about chocolate.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina to remain active and stand for long hours, often walking or standing in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to move quickly between tasks, assist multiple customers at once, or handle unexpected changes (e.g., restocking or reorganizing displays).
• Physical agility and ability to stay organized while multitasking.
• Capability to bend, squat, or reach up high to organize or stock products.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness, which may involve bending down to clean floors or wiping down displays.
• Ability to lift 15‑40 pounds.
