About the role
The Restaurant Server plays a crucial role in ensuring customers receive prompt, seamless service and effective communication with the kitchen team. This position requires a strong understanding of menu items, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Converse effectively and collaborate positively with colleagues
- Display a positive attitude and be outgoing
- Follow all company policies and procedures, report incidents, and complete necessary training
- Welcome guests according to company standards, speak clearly and professionally, and answer calls courteously
- Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and contribute to team success
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and adhere to cleanliness and organization protocols
- Monitor and organize service areas, clear dishes promptly, and alert management to issues
- Stay updated on menu items and communicate any food allergies to the kitchen
Requirements
- Follow responsible alcohol practices and card guests under 40
- Be able to lift up to 20 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours per shift
- Have basic English language skills (written and verbal)
- Show excellent communication and time management skills
- Know all food and beverage menu items, including ingredient descriptions and food allergies
- Hold a ServSafe Alcohol and Food Allergen certification or equivalent
