Seasonal Scale Probe Clerk
About the role
CGB Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an individual to join our team. Founded in 1969, CGB operates a network of over 100 locations and employs nearly 2,000 U.S. workers across a diverse portfolio of businesses. This position is part of a dynamic team that supports producers and logistics for international customers.
Responsibilities
- Weigh trucks in and out, record information, and take samples, where applicable.
- Perform tests required for the grading of specific grains, where applicable.
- Electronically record information such as grades, splits, etc.
- Direct trucks to the appropriate location.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers.
- Complete documentation timely, accurately, and legibly.
- Label and store samples according to facility protocol, where applicable.
- Perform general clean-up of scale/probe house inside work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: None required, but 1 year’s experience in an industrial environment preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Grain grader and/or weighing certificate, required upon hire.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of computers and software, basic math skills, effective communication, strong multi-tasking, and customer service skills.

- Physical Demands: Ability to balance, bend, stoop, twist, crouch, crawl, kneel, squat, climb stairs, concentrate, distinguish odors, grasp and reach, communicate verbally, understand and communicate written instructions, work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts, work in environments with high dust levels, and be aware of surroundings.
- Environmental Conditions: Work in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
