Seasonal Sales Associate (Store 3994)

About the role

The Seasonal Sales Associate supports the store team on a short-term basis by delivering outstanding guest service experiences in a sales culture that utilizes GameStop's buy, sell, trade, and reservation business model (Circle of Life). This role focuses on sales, store maintenance, and customer service during peak seasonal sales days.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class customer service by greeting guests, assisting with video gaming needs, recommending additional items, and expressing gratitude to every guest.
• Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational aspects, and contribute to all store sales initiatives during the holiday season.
• Collaborate with the store team to maintain clean, organized, and well-merchandised store areas, including restrooms, shelves, and fixtures.
• Assist in stocking, restocking, and transferring merchandise, ensuring products are well-presented, organized, and alphabetized on the selling floor.
• Help the store team meet and exceed sales, profit, and shrinkage reduction goals.
• Address guest questions and concerns promptly and escalate issues to a store keyholder when necessary.
• Support inventory control and loss prevention practices, including awareness of scams and adherence to safety best practices.
• Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures, including attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail sales or guest service experience preferred.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to follow instructions presented in written, oral, and diagram form.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong guest service skills.
• Clear verbal communication and listening skills in spoken and written English; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment both independently and within a team.
• Meet associate performance expectations, including attendance, professional dress, and grooming requirements.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the store unassisted for at least 8 hours per day.
• Capability to bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift merchandise weighing up to 30 lbs. from ground level to a minimum height of 4 feet.
• Reliability and trustworthiness.

Pay

Pay Rate: $17.13 per hour.
