About the role

The Seasonal Sales Associate supports the store team during peak sales days, focusing on sales, store maintenance, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class customer service by greeting guests, assisting with video gaming needs, and recommending additional items.
• Safeguard the shopping environment by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper merchandising.
• Stock and restock merchandise, and assist in transferring products from the stock room to the front of the store.
• Achieve sales, profit, and shrinkage reduction goals by collaborating with the store team.
• Address guest questions and concerns promptly, professionally, and courteously, escalating issues to a store keyholder as necessary.
• Support inventory control and loss prevention by adhering to best practices and being aware of potential scams.
• Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures, including attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail sales or guest service experience preferred.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to follow instructions and demonstrate clear verbal communication and listening skills.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong guest service skills.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the store for at least 8 hours per day, bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift up to 30 lbs.
