Seasonal Sales Associate/Hardlines

About the role

Seasonal Sales Associate with a 120-day assignment. Primary purpose is to maintain customer service standards, generate sales, perform housekeeping and merchandising tasks, handle pricing and signage, operate point of sale systems, process freight, and support loss prevention in accordance with company policies and store standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge every customer, answer questions, and assist in locating products.
• Answer incoming phone calls and maintain constant radio communication with associates.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Coastal Farm’s products and current promotions.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and store housekeeping.
• Help in other departments as needed.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, replacing trash bags, and sweeping department floors.

Qualifications

• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and shift priorities accordingly.
• Familiar with operating a computer system and email.
• Preference given to candidates familiar with standard retail concepts and practices.
• Strong attention to detail.
