Seasonal Sales Associate - Footwear

About the role

Seasonal position with opportunity to earn extra money for the holidays and enjoy an Outfitter Discount. National Hiring Event: Wednesday, October 7th and Thursday, October 8th, 10 am – 7 pm at 1356 Bass Pro Shops Manteca, Ca 95337. Be prepared to interview for various positions on the spot.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge all customers in a prompt and friendly manner
• Handle merchandise with care
• Provide information, assistance, and direction to customers
• Support a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience
• Demonstrate product to customers
• Replenish product on shelves as required per Merchandising guidelines
• Remain product “expert” through ongoing product knowledge training
• Remain knowledgeable of advertised sales; maintain pricing and signing
• Assist with "Seasonal" floor merchandise moves
• Restock merchandise as required
• Keep work area clean, neat and well stocked with supplies
• Follow all Company Policies and Procedures
• Provide a legendary experience for every customer by assisting in buying decisions: identifying and evaluating needs, making product recommendations, promoting programs including CLUB Membership, VOC and In-Store Pick-up
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Degree Required: High School education or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements: Constantly stand and/or walk during shift; occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.; constantly communicate with others; occasionally repeat motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers; occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools; occasionally operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment; light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly, may occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed); occasionally work in tight and confined spaces; occasionally work in noisy environments.

Independent Judgement: Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation; chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems; occasional independent judgment required; often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.

• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and other associates
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers
• Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system

Pay

Starting Pay Rate: $16.90 - $18.75 (Part Time)
