Seasonal Sales Associate

Vince is seeking a dynamic, customer service-driven Full-Time Seasonal Sales Associate to join our San Francisco, Geary St location.

About the role

The Sales Associate is responsible for generating sales and building customer relationships in our retail stores. Associates who demonstrate high degrees of proficiency in interacting with customers and identifying their needs will maximize sales opportunities. The associate will continue client contact beyond the initial sale by capturing name, address, phone, and email contact information, using multiple means to communicate and build relationships. The role also includes maintaining the visual and housekeeping standards of the store, receiving merchandise, processing markdowns, and handling transfers. The associate must successfully operate our point-of-sale (POS) register system and email system.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals agreed upon with your store manager
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of merchandise features and benefits to maximize sales opportunities
• Identify customer needs, listen actively, and overcome objections
• Responsible for client development beyond the initial transaction using phone, email, and written follow-up
• Maintain housekeeping and visual standards of the store
• Operate the POS register and email systems proficiently
• Safeguard store inventory by adhering to the company’s loss prevention program
• Follow all store operational policies and procedures
• Manage client book and clienteling activities
• Lift, carry, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 35 pounds and use ladders or stairs for merchandising

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail sales is preferred
• Sales-driven, goal-oriented, and extremely personable individual
• Positive, high-energy, friendly, outgoing, and engaging personality
• Willingness to initiate contact with customers and identify their shopping needs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective customer interaction
• Computer skills to operate retail POS systems, Word, Excel, and email
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and use ladders or stairs

Pay

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $19.61 to $21 hourly. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
