Seasonal Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Operate with accuracy and efficiency with core banking systems and processing transactions through the sales associate cash drawer.
• Balance assigned cash daily and maintain strict adherence to security procedures, controlling the cash drawer and adhering to cash limits established by the bank.
• Identify customers by obtaining proper identification documentation, verifying endorsements, payees, cash, and checks, and obtaining supervisor approval for transactions above established limits.
• Comply with all department and company policies, procedures, and overall security guidelines.
• Prepare mandatory currency transaction reports and monetary instrument logs in accordance with Bank Secrecy Act regulations, ensuring adherence to Know Your Customer (KYC), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and Information Security policies and procedures.
• Maintain consistent performance towards meeting monthly branch and/or individual scorecard goals by monitoring self-performance and implementing action plans.
• Promote and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers, adhering to sales and service standards.
• Communicate the bank’s products and services effectively to clients, contributing to the promotion of the bank’s offerings.
• Be prepared to assist with opening and closing the branch as needed, accommodating shifts and working outside of regular scheduled hours as necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of the Bank’s in-house Sales Associate Training Program.
• Previous customer service contact experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to demonstrate a professional and sales-oriented demeanor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Spanish or another language being a plus.
• Experience handling money is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel) is required.
• A working knowledge of appropriate core banking systems is advantageous.
• Detailed orientation and professionalism are essential.
• Flexibility in work schedule is required due to business needs.
