About the role

Our Sales Associates are critical to the success of our stores. You’ll create the best possible customer experience by listening to each customer, offering recommendations, and sharing current product knowledge in response to their needs. You’ll communicate the brand’s sustainability initiatives and social and ethical commitments while operating as part of a dynamic team to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

• Create personalized shopping experiences that drive brand loyalty
• Greet customers promptly and courteously as they enter the store
• Address all customer questions accurately before they leave
• Provide exceptional service from start to finish, including communicating our return policy
• Maintain a positive, cheerful attitude with customers and team members
• Adhere to store dress code and promote brand image in all interactions
• Provide exceptional customer service to in-store and phone customers
• Operate the cash register and handle money accurately
• Check inventory daily and ensure products are stocked and available
• Merchandise product in accordance with Visual Merchandising standards
• Maintain a clean and well-organized back-stock area and employee break area, including daily vacuuming, sweeping, and dusting
• Practice safety-consciousness and respond to theft in accordance with policies
• Report to work on time and notify your Store Manager in advance if you will be late or absent

Requirements

• Two (2) years of retail store experience preferred
• High School Diploma
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to convey the Deckers Brands Vision and Mission to team members and customers
• Highly motivated team player and self-starter
• Flexibility of schedule and hours to meet the needs of the business
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools and applications
• Valid driver’s license

Pay

The salary posted reflects the target for new hire salaries for this role at this specific store location: $15.90 per hour. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
