About the role
Frette is seeking a Seasonal Sales Assistant for our boutique in Central Valley at Woodbury Commons to work part-time through the holiday season beginning in October. The Sales Assistant is an integral part of the store team, flexing between back-of-house and front-of-house support as needed. Responsibilities
- Inventory Control: Ownership of inventory control including cycle counts, communicating adjustments, discrepancies, negative on-hand, reports, informing store of new receipts, out-of-stock, best sellers; execute operational responsibilities to ensure timely execution of transfers, damages, fulfillments and holds, replenishment, shipping, and receiving; ensure maximization and effectiveness of storage and capacity of all products in front of house, back of house, and offsite storage; partner with Store Manager and Sales Specialists to prioritize customer sales and maintain appropriate inventory levels and organization; ensure compliance with all operational policies and procedures including Loss Prevention, Inventory Control, Boutique Maintenance, Customer Capture, POS; train staff in all back-of-house procedures and communicate policy changes.
- Client Experience: Follow Frette packaging guidelines for ship outs; maintain consistent company perspective on charge sends, returns/exchanges, and other transactions critical to a positive customer experience; meet company and personal sales goals by upholding Frette’s selling ceremonies and fostering client relationships; capture client data per CRM guidelines to complete authentic client outreach; perform sales and register transactions including ringing purchases (in-person/phone/email), processing payments, and counting money; contribute to daily morning meetings; participate in maintaining visual standards including VM rotations and bed changes; assist with offsite activities including home installations, bank drops, tailor visits, etc.
- Maintenance: Perform stockroom maintenance, stock checks, and shipping of product (transfers, customer-related items, in-store and E-comm fulfillments); oversee ongoing facilities and maintenance including furniture repair, daily/monthly cleaning of stores, and all repair work (walls, floors, fixtures); daily touch base with Store Manager and team to outline priorities; in partnership with Store Manager, Retail Coordinator & Retail Director, manage and maintain annual budgets for operational expenses (packaging, supplies, cleaning & maintenance); perform key holder store opening and closing procedures and ensure opening/closing checklist completion; partner with IT on helpdesk inquiries.
Qualifications
- Multiple years of experience in a retail store environment, including front and back-of-house preferred.
- Valid US driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency with retail operating systems including shipping, POS, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
- Detail-oriented with strong organization and follow-up skills; ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and ability to work well independently as well as within a team atmosphere.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude that contributes to a positive team environment; team-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members and willingness to set and maintain high standards of performance.
- Ability to travel as needed to off-site storage locations within a 15-mile radius.
- Willingness to have a positive partnership with the Corporate team as well as other store teams.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 50 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Ability to maneuver effectively around the boutique floor, stock room, and offsite.
- Position entails prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and OSHA-approved ladder safety.
Pay
$18.00 per hour, up to 29 hours per week.
