About the role

Frette is seeking a Seasonal Sales Assistant for our boutique in Cabazon, CA to work part-time through the holiday season beginning in October. The Sales Assistant is an integral part of the store team, flexing between back-of-house and front-of-house support as needed. Responsibilities

  • Inventory Control: Own inventory control including cycle counts, communicating adjustments, discrepancies, negative on-hand, reports, informing store of new receipts, out-of-stock, best sellers, transfers, damages, fulfillments, holds, replenishment, shipping, and receiving to maintain inventory accuracy and product flow. Maximize storage and capacity in front-of-house, back-of-house, and offsite locations. Partner with the Store Manager and Sales Specialists to prioritize customer sales and maintain appropriate inventory levels and organization. Ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures including Loss Prevention, Inventory Control, Boutique Maintenance, Customer Capture, and POS. Train staff in back-of-house procedures and communicate policy changes across the store team.
  • Client Experience: Follow Frette packaging guidelines for shipments, maintain company standards for charge sends, returns/exchanges, and other transactions. Meet company and personal sales goals by upholding Frette’s selling ceremonies and fostering client relationships. Capture client data per CRM guidelines to develop authentic client outreach and lasting relationships for acquisition and retention. Perform sales and register transactions including in-person, phone, and email purchases, processing payments, and counting money. Contribute to daily morning meetings and participate in visual standards including VM rotations and daily bed changes. Assist with offsite activities such as home installations, bank drops, and tailor visits.
  • Maintenance: Perform stockroom maintenance, stock checks, and shipping of product including transfers, customer-related items, and in-store and e-commerce fulfillments. Oversee facilities and maintenance including furniture repair, daily/monthly cleaning, and repair work (walls, floors, fixtures). Provide daily feedback to housekeeping services on quality of work. Conduct daily touch bases with the Store Manager and team to outline priorities and align expectations. In partnership with the Store Manager, Retail Coordinator, and Retail Director, manage and maintain annual budgets for operational expenses (packaging, supplies, cleaning, and maintenance). Perform key holder store opening and closing procedures and ensure completion of opening/closing checklists. Partner with IT on helpdesk-related inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Multiple years of experience in a retail store environment, including front and back-of-house preferred.
  • Valid US driver’s license.
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency with retail operating systems including shipping, POS, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as within a team atmosphere.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude that contributes to a positive team environment.
  • Team-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members and willingness to set and maintain high standards of performance.
  • Ability to travel as needed to off-site storage locations within a 15-mile radius.
  • Willingness to partner with the Corporate team and other store teams.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 50 lbs using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Ability to maneuver effectively around the boutique floor, stockroom, and offsite locations.
  • Position entails prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, and OSHA-approved ladder safety.

The role pays $18.00 per hour, up to 29 hours per week.
