Seasonal Retail Service Team Member

Michaels is the leading destination for creating and celebrating in North America, operating over 1,300 stores and online platforms. This role is based in North Orlando-Magnolia, LA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping, and help them locate products and solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience, including executing cash handling to company standards.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Maintain store recovery standards, including merchandise recovery, returns, and general store upkeep to ensure a well-merchandised and in-stock store.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
• Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production (preferred).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store, including regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Capability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.
• Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

Work Environment

• Public retail store setting with climate-controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled.
• Outdoor work may be required for retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks.
• Frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses.
• Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
