About the Role

The purpose of the role is to champion originality and inspire self‑belief, bringing the brand to life for customers. As a Brand Associate, you create on‑trend looks that are uniquely Gap, act as a fashion and culture expert, and contribute to a positive, friendly, and inclusive environment that strengthens the emotional connection between customers and the brand.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage with customers, showing genuine interest in understanding and addressing their needs.
• Notice subtle cues to personalize product recommendations.
• Tell the brand story by using product knowledge to make suggestions feel meaningful.
• Educate customers about loyalty programs.
• Support multiple areas of the store, including sales floor, fitting room, cash wrap, and back of house, as required.
• Execute operational processes effectively and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized environment.

Qualifications

• Style‑driven and culture‑centric with a keen eye for current and emerging trends.
• Eager to confidently connect with customers to deliver an exceptional Gap experience.
• Focused on continuous improvement; open to listening and acting on feedback.
• Passionate about Gap, its heritage, and product offerings.
• At least 16 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and not require current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Willing to learn and use technology tools, including mobile devices, apps, and registers.
• Available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to perform essential functions such as standing, walking, moving throughout the store, and lifting up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay

Hourly range: $12.00 – $14.50. Employee pay varies based on qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies, and work location. Minimum wage or the minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) will be met based on city, county, and state requirements.
