About the Role

As a Retail Associate, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional experiences for customers. This seasonal position runs from mid-October to March 1st, 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet customers, provide prompt assistance, and offer product recommendations.
• Create positive and memorable customer interactions, including giving lessons in product use.
• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing customer-facing environments.
• Operate cash registers and process customer payments.
• Efficiently handle will-call orders and manage customer waitlists, communicating estimated wait times.
• Execute store operations tasks such as inventory receiving, processing, ship-from-store, and product restocking.
• Develop technical product knowledge and educate customers about product features to help them choose the best gear for their adventures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous retail experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Willingness to learn about the products and services offered.
• Adaptability, attention to detail, cash handling, communication, conflict resolution, customer service, inventory management, multitasking, product knowledge, and teamwork.

Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems is preferred but not required.

Schedule

This is a seasonal position requiring weekend and holiday availability. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with mandatory work during peak periods such as Black Friday and the weeks leading up to and following Christmas.

Pay

The base wage for this role ranges from $16.42 to $19.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Internal pay equity is also considered. While the full range is listed, hiring typically occurs below the top of the range to allow for professional and financial growth.
