About the Role
Retail Leads play a pivotal role in evo's retail operations by leading and maintaining operational excellence, including store inventory management, ship-to-store pickup operations, ship-from-store, and providing guidance and support to frontline employees. They are responsible for leading and developing retail team members, maintaining a positive customer experience, achieving sales goals, and upholding evo's visual merchandising standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Store Supervisor to positively influence employee productivity, customer experience, and sales goals.
- Uphold evo's visual merchandising standards to create an appealing shopping environment.
- Provide on-the-spot coaching to staff, addressing performance, customer service, and work ethic.
- Lead by example, consistently meeting and exceeding goals and expectations set by the retail leadership team.
- Execute store sales/promotions, markdowns, transfers, shipments, and merchandising projects.
- Assist with opening and closing responsibilities, including register management and nightly walkthroughs.
- Exemplify customer service standards, maintaining a welcoming and positive demeanor.
- Check in with staff throughout the day, manage lunch schedules, and ensure floor coverage.
- Provide feedback on product assortment to the Supervisor and/or Manager.
- Lead store operations including receiving, processing, and restocking inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
The Must Haves
- Previous experience in a retail role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using retail systems and software (e.g., NetSuite, evoPOS, BRM, HighJump).
- Adaptability, attention to detail, cash handling, communication, conflict resolution, critical thinking, customer service, inventory management, merchandising, multitasking, problem-solving, product knowledge, teamwork, time management.
- Embodies, honors, and lives evo’s core values: The Great 8.
The Nice to Haves
- Knowledge of outdoor sports and gear is a plus.
Pay
The base wage for this role ranges from $21.25 - $23.75 per hour. Placement within this range depends on skills and experience, with consideration for internal pay equity. While the full range is listed, hiring typically occurs below the top of the range to allow for professional and financial growth.
Schedule
Duration: mid-October through mid-February, with the possibility to extend. Requires weekend and holiday availability, including Black Friday and the weeks around Christmas. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
