About the Role

As a Retail Store Associate at Duluth Trading Company, you will strive to deliver exceptional customer service by embracing our "Go for WOW!" standard. This means treating customers right and creating special experiences by going above and beyond in every interaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive product knowledge of the Duluth brand to provide solution-oriented, friendly service.
• Center every interaction around the customer, from greeting to fitting room to checkout.
• Effectively communicate sales and promotions to customers.
• Prioritize email capture as part of sales and service, executing to company standards.
• Proactively resolve customer concerns with positive solutions.
• Answer telephones courteously, including providing store greetings, directions, and processing orders.
• Assist in receiving, processing, and replenishing merchandise.
• Maintain merchandising, presentation, and display standards to ensure the sales floor is customer-ready.
• Uphold company cleanliness standards for the sales floor, stockroom, restrooms, cash wrap, and hospitality areas.
• Accurately and efficiently process all register transactions.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices.
• Perform additional duties as directed by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail experience is preferred but not required.
• Customer-centric mindset with pride in delivering quality work and ownership of store responsibilities.
• Operates with integrity and trust.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Collaborative team player.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Environmental Factors

• Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting—both below the waist and above the shoulders.
• Frequent use of repetitive hand-to-finger motions and reaching with hands and arms.
• Frequently lift up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
• Push/pull up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50–85 degrees, particularly in stockroom areas.
• Use of a computer for up to 60% of the workday.

Pay

$15.00 to $15.50/hour. Compensation is based on location, experience, and qualifications.
