About the role

As a Retail Store Associate at Duluth Trading Company, you’ll strive to deliver our “Go for WOW!” standard of customer service—treating every customer right and seizing opportunities to create memorable, above-and-beyond experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep familiarity with the Duluth brand and products to provide solution-oriented, friendly service.
• Center every interaction around the customer, from greeting to fitting room to checkout.
• Communicate current sales and promotions clearly and enthusiastically.
• Capture customer emails as part of each sale and service interaction.
• Proactively resolve customer concerns with positive, empowered solutions.
• Answer telephones courteously, providing store greetings, directions, and processing orders.
• Assist in receiving, processing, and replenishing merchandise.
• Maintain merchandising, presentation, and display standards across the sales floor.
• Keep the sales floor, stockroom, restrooms, cash wrap, and hospitality area clean and customer-ready.
• Process register transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices.
• Perform additional duties as directed by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Customer-centric mindset with pride in a job well done and ownership of store performance.
• Operates with integrity and trust.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Collaborates effectively as part of a team.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Environmental Factors

• Stand or walk for up to eight hours daily.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting—both below the waist and above the shoulders.
• Repetitive hand-to-finger motions and arm movements.
• Frequently lift up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
• Push or pull up to 20 pounds.
• Climb ladders, reach, and bend as needed.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50–85 degrees, especially in stockroom areas.
• Use a computer for up to 60% of the workday.

Pay
