As a Restaurant Server, you are the face of the Saks Global dining experience, delivering warm, sophisticated hospitality by combining deep menu knowledge with flawless table service.

Responsibilities

• Gracious Hospitality: Manage table pacing and interact with guests in a highly attentive, professional, and sophisticated manner.
• Epicurean Expertise: Utilize comprehensive knowledge of the food menu, including preparation methods, ingredients, and culinary terminology to describe dishes, articulate daily specials, and handle dietary restrictions.
• Beverage Craft & Pairing: Leverage strong foundational knowledge of premium wine, beer, and spirits to offer tailored pairings and execute flawless technical beverage service procedures.
• Station Operations & Maintenance: Execute all pre‑shift, post‑shift, daily, and weekly side‑work duties as assigned; follow strict brand guidelines for table settings (fine china, luxury glassware, flatware); clean, sanitize, and maintain server workstations and dining areas; assist with physical setup of the dining room when needed.
• Financial Oversight & Professional Standards: Adhere to established accounting procedures for all guest transactions, accurately managing split checks and authorized payment methods within the POS system; participate in daily pre‑shift meetings to review covers, VIP reservations, and culinary updates; maintain highest level of personal hygiene and luxury presentation standards (clean, pressed uniform, professionally groomed hair and nails).
• Schedule & Shift Integrity: Arrive on time, fully dressed in proper uniform, and prepared with necessary tools; exercise absolute integrity with scheduling by punching in/out accurately and coordinating timed meal breaks; follow established procedures for schedule or shift changes and proactively coordinate time‑off requests with management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Proven experience in a high‑end, premium, or upscale food and beverage environment following strict table service guidelines.
• Service Mastery: Thorough knowledge of upscale order‑of‑service guidelines, fine dining table setups, and common culinary and beverage terminology.
• Interpersonal Excellence: Exceptional customer service and problem‑solving skills, with a natural ability to interface graciously with a premium clientele.
• Attributes: Self‑motivated, highly organized, detail‑oriented, and a strong champion of a collaborative “win together” team culture.
• Physical Requirements: Role requires significant physical stamina for extended periods of standing, walking the floor, bending, climbing stairs, and the ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
• Scheduling Flexibility: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule tailored to premium retail and hospitality business needs, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
