The 295-bed hospital with over 800 physicians, residents and allied health professionals offers advanced healthcare services including cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services — including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci® Surgical System, a weight‑loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women’s and children’s services, and a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This opportunity is for a seasonal mids position with the Palma Sola Free‑Standing Emergency Room located at 633 75th Street West., Bradenton, FL 34209.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse promotes and provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Demonstrates professional leadership and support to the healthcare team while providing the foundation of all patient‑centered nursing care. Communicates with physicians and other nursing staff about patient needs, administers IVs and medications to aid in patient health, and uses medical equipment to monitor patient vital signs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of emergency department (ED) experience
• Current ER experience required

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Current RN licensure in Florida
• Current BLS through American Heart Association
• Current ACLS through American Heart Association
• Current PALS through American Heart Association
• Current TNCC Certification
• Current NIH Stroke Certification
• CPI required within 6 months of hire

Pay

Seasonal rate: $70/hr
