About the Hotel

The Vineta Hotel, located in the heart of Palm Beach, has been restored to its former splendor and is reopening in its original 1926 Mediterranean Revival landmark location, just two blocks from Worth Avenue. Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all hotel/departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of property inventory management system and manual procedures.
• Set up and organize workstation with designated supplies, forms, and resource materials.
• Maintain cleanliness by sweeping and mopping designated storage areas and coolers.
• Report delivery shortages and discrepancies to supervisor.
• Respond accurately to inquiries from other hotel departments and promote positive relations.
• Obtain back-up information for missing or low-stock merchandise.
• Manage departmental requests and ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Participate in monthly inventory and track product locations in storerooms.
• Maintain open communication with Culinary Chefs to provide needed products.
• Check incoming shipments against invoices; organize, store, and track all received merchandise.
• Maintain daily organization and cleanliness of purchasing department areas.
• Prepare and deliver merchandise from storage rooms to designated departments.
• Complete all position training and certification requirements.
• Build morale, interact positively with team members and guests, and resolve problems satisfactorily.
• Uphold personal appearance and hygiene standards as an example for the team.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in receiving or stocking responsibilities.
• High school graduate; college degree in Hospitality preferred but not required.
• Fluent in English; other languages considered an asset.
• Experience with computers, calculators, Microsoft Office, and procurement programs.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to reach, bend, balance, and lift/transport objects up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during a shift.
• Must be able to access and navigate all hotel departments.
• Must have a clean driving record.
