About the Role
As a Seasonal Ramp/Warehouse Agent, you will work as part of a team delivering safe and efficient aircraft services while providing the highest level of customer service, keeping passengers and aircraft moving safely and on time.
Responsibilities
- Properly and safely load and unload freight, including building up and breaking down cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines
- Hold equipment certifications and operate equipment safely
- Obtain proper security documents for all shipments
- Verify upon receipt from customer shipment pieces, weight, dimensions, and airworthiness
- Verify upon delivery to customer shipment pieces and airway bill numbers
Requirements
- Maintain and treat all information as confidential
- Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English
- Must be able to verbally direct in English
- Successful completion of the SIDA airport badging or background check process required for this location
- 3-year U.S. residency required for Postal Clearance
- A valid driver’s license is required for this position
Work Environment
- Warehouse: physically strenuous, prolonged periods of standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment
- Outdoor: prolonged periods of standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes, and noise, in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles
Physical Demands
- Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to speak and hear efficiently
- Able to lift, push, pull up to 75 pounds at times
- Ability to climb ladders of up to 15 feet in height
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
Schedule
Part-time, PM shift: Monday to Friday (until aircraft departs). Some weekends required. Schedule is subject to change.
