District Photo Inc. was founded in 1949 by Melvin Cohen as a small black & white photo lab, growing during the last half of the 20th century into a large wholesale photofinishing lab serving mid-Atlantic retailers and a national mail order film business. In the late 1990's under Neil Cohen’s leadership, DPI acquired a photo business in the UK and transitioned from a mid-Atlantic film developing lab to multiple state-of-the-art digital labs shipping millions of photos worldwide every day. Today, District is one of the largest variable data printing companies in the world, with facilities comprising over a million square feet of manufacturing space and a global reach that sets them apart in the digital printing market. With 7 production fulfillment facilities located in the United States (MD, KY, AZ), England, the Czech Republic & Australia, District Photo delivers millions of prints, greeting cards, books, calendars, blankets, mugs, and other gift items yearly.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operators – Operate and monitor production equipment while helping us produce high-quality personalized photo products.
• Material Handlers – Keep materials and products moving efficiently throughout our production facility.
• Warehouse Workers – Assist with receiving, inventory, material movement, packing, shipping, and other warehouse functions.

Requirements

• Dependable people ready to work in a busy, fast-paced production environment.
• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, warehouse, fulfillment, or production experience is helpful, but opportunities may be available for candidates with different levels of experience.
• Reliability and attendance are extremely important during our holiday season.

Pay

Starting pay: $15.30 per hour. Overtime opportunities available! Employees who are available for additional hours during our busiest weeks may have the opportunity to earn significant overtime.

Schedule

We have a variety of schedules available, including day shifts, night shifts, weekend day shifts, and weekend night shifts. During our busiest periods, some positions may have the opportunity to work significant overtime, including schedules of up to seven days per week. Positions may start as early as October and are expected to continue through approximately the Christmas holiday — ending shortly before or after Christmas depending on production needs.
