Seasonal Operations Supervisor

About the role

Seasonal Operations Supervisor for Friday – Sunday night shifts during peak season. Lead daily and weekly operations in your assigned area, motivate and develop the workforce, and ensure customer and site requirements are met while driving continuous improvement and a positive work culture.

Key Accountabilities

• Direct daily activities to ensure a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for associates.
• Ensure associates have proper access to necessary tools; routinely inspect and maintain tools.
• Organize and lead productivity improvements by first emphasizing process effectiveness, then associate efficiency.
• Collaborate with regional sites on safety, labor sharing, and best-practice initiatives.
• Plan, manage, and adjust daily workload and staffing to minimize unplanned overtime.
• Ensure shift/daily/weekly workload planning and volume forecasting (staffing, equipment, space).
• Communicate, apply, and enforce company policies (safety, accounting, operational, regulatory, administrative).
• Maximize quality and productivity by understanding job standards, evaluating performance variances, and identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Effectively communicate work task SOPs, convey key information during preshift meetings, and ensure appropriate shift hand-offs.
• Provide a professional environment with external customers and vendors (drivers, dispatchers, customer representatives).
• Execute daily customer/vendor contract requirements and identify accessorial activity; ensure necessary documentation.
• Ensure inventory integrity through timely and accurate receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory management.
• Participate in collecting performance measurements consistent with customer, vendor, and site requirements.

Required Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Operations background
• 1–2 years logistics industry experience preferred
• 0–3 years experience in lead/supervisor/management role
