About the role

Do you enjoy making things happen behind the scenes and seeing your work flourish in a store? Well, being a Seasonal Operations Associate might be the position for you! A Seasonal Operations Associate’s role is to create an outstanding customer experience by performing operations functions within the store. This is an early morning position and you will work with the task team to perform functions prior to store opening. As a seasonal hire you will have a defined employment time period, but you may be offered an employment extension or regular position based on your work ethic and availability.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Maneuver around the store at a fast pace, working with the latest merchandise; when a customer asks for assistance, you are the go-to person.
• Executes pricing and signing: Change ticket prices and signing on merchandise across the store quickly and accurately.
• Replenish and restock the store: Monitor stock levels and pull/prepare merchandise to send to the sales floor so customers can find the styles and sizes they need.
• Receive and unload merchandise: Work with co-workers to unload trucks and prepare incoming merchandise in the backroom.
• Backroom standards: Keep the stockroom safe, clean, and organized.
• On-line jcp.com pick up: Find and fulfill orders placed online.
• Merchandise strategy: Execute leadership’s placement plans with efficiency and detail, maintaining merchandising standards to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Participates in a learning environment: Absorb new information from peers or training materials on merchandise or business processes.
