Brief Description
We are seeking friendly, dependable, and safety-minded individuals to provide exceptional customer service while transporting ArtsQuest Members during festival operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate a golf cart in designated festival areas while following all traffic and safety guidelines.
- Transport ArtsQuest Members between the Sand Island (SI) Member Parking Lot and the designated member pick-up/drop-off location at the corner of Main and Lehigh Streets.
- Greet members in a friendly and professional manner at both pick-up locations.
- Aid passengers with entering and exiting the golf cart as needed.
- Aid with loading and unloading small personal items, such as folding chairs, walkers, wheelchairs, or shopping bags, when appropriate.
- Provide directions, festival information, and outstanding customer service.
- Maintain awareness of pedestrian traffic and operate the golf cart safely in crowded festival environments.
- Perform a basic inspection of the golf cart before each shift and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns to the Director of Event Operations.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding service needs, delays, or incidents.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable operating a golf cart in busy pedestrian areas.
- Friendly, courteous, and customer-focused.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and directions from supervisors.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and repeatedly enter and exit a golf cart throughout a shift.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 40 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Job Hours
- Weekdays (July 31, Aug 3 – Aug 7): 4:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
- Weekends (Aug 1 – 2 & Aug 8 – 9): 11:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to: Communicate with employees and clients, either verbally and/or in writing.
- Frequently required to: Sit, stand, walk, see, hear, bend, stoop, reach; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- Read and communicate in English.
- Bilingual in other languages is a plus.
