Seasonal Medical Assistant - Starke, FL

Seasonal Medical Assistant position in Starke, FL, supporting urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services during the October‑February cold and flu season.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Duties
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments
  • Take patient histories and vital signs
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment
  • Dispense medication as directed
  • Educate patients on discharge instructions, when applicable
  • Handle telephone calls from clients, patients, physicians, pharmacies, and other staff
  • Address patient concerns within the scope of the position
• Clerical Duties
  • Maintain patient records for clinical, medical, billing, and review purposes
  • Assist with scheduling tests and treatments
  • Complete opening and closing procedures
• Other Duties
  • Maintain disposable and non‑disposable supplies
  • Assist with annual training as needed
  • Help produce and maintain patient education materials
  • Keep work and treatment areas clean and professional
  • Accept and handle special projects as assigned
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Prior medical assisting experience or education is beneficial but not required
• Medical assisting certification is not required

Pay

Starting at $15 per hour.

Schedule

Rotating schedule with two shifts (Shift A and Shift B), including every other weekend. Sample schedule provided by the clinic.
