Seasonal Maintenance Worker (Summer)

About the role

Seasonal maintenance worker supports Camp Rapid's operation readiness by performing general upkeep, groundskeeping, and minor repair tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, brush removal as well as general facility upkeep.
• Include minor repairs, painting and general preventative maintenance on various building systems.
• Safely operate ground maintenance equipment, including zero turn mowers, weed trimmers and utility vehicles (UTV).
• Perform manual labor; lift up to 50 pounds; work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• Knowledge of safety regulations and basic hazardous material handling (e.g. fuel, paint, solvents).
• Basic understanding of groundskeeping, landscaping and general facility upkeep procedures.
• Proper use and maintenance or standard hand tools, power tools and light machinery.

Skills

• Safely operate ground maintenance equipment, including zero turn mowers, weed trimmers and utility vehicles (UTV).

Benefits

This is a temporary or seasonal, non-benefited position, exempt from civil service.

Pay

$14.50 - $18.28 per hour, depending on experience.
