The University of Oklahoma is seeking Seasonal Temporary Landscape & Grounds Specialists to help maintain and enhance the beauty of one of Oklahoma’s most iconic campuses. From tree-lined walkways to vibrant green spaces, our grounds team plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, flower beds, trees, and landscaped areas.
- Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Assist with planting, watering, pruning, and general grounds upkeep.
- Support campus events and seasonal projects.
- Work as part of a dedicated, team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License in order to drive University vehicles (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date).
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physical capability to perform landscaping and grounds tasks.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and team-focused mindset.
Qualifications
- No formal education or prior experience required.
- Landscaping or grounds experience is helpful, but not required.
Pay
Targeted salary: $14.04 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm. Work hours will shift due to winter season, weather, and projects.
