This position communicates and enforces human resources policies, procedures, and programs in the following areas: Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Compliance, and more. It provides HR support to geographies within a defined scope, requiring close proximity to business operations covering one or multiple UPS locations. Responsibilities may vary by location and include managing employee concerns, inquiry management, programs to reduce turnover, talent acquisition, select onboarding/offboarding activities, and on-site learning facilitation.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes highly effective relationships between HR and Operations partners, recruiting organizations, external customers, and peers to share accountability and provide valued support for achieving business goals.
  • Composes clear communications of HR processes, changes, or updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Promotes organizational change and cultural transformation to ensure the organization’s strategic and tactical initiatives are effectively executed.
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge base, consistent time management skills, and strong organizational skills to provide an effective consultative partnership with business management.
  • Develops effective tools to organize, prioritize, delegate, and create solutions to meet HR initiatives in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interactive communication skills
  • Skilled in effective research tactics with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image to internal and external customers
  • Ability to travel to support recruiting events/operations initiatives
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer

Qualifications

  • Prior HR experience with the ability to utilize Workday and Fountain (preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent (preferred)
