About the role

Working at Target means helping families discover the joy of everyday life. Seasonal specialty sales roles involve providing tailored suggestions and solutions through active selling and compelling visual merchandising. Seasonal service & engagement advocates focus on guest interaction and recovery, while seasonal general merchandise & food sales experts ensure products are set, in‑stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor.

These positions offer knowledge of guest service fundamentals, experience with retail business fundamentals (department sales trends, inventory management, process efficiency), and the opportunity to execute daily/weekly workloads that support business priorities and sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide welcoming and helpful service to guests and team members.
  • Execute active selling and visual merchandising presentations.
  • Maintain product placement, stock levels, pricing, and signage.
  • Handle cash register operations accurately.
  • Climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting or moving items up to 40 pounds.
  • Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
  • Follow multi‑step processes with attention to detail.
  • Adapt to current technology needs.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team.
