About the role

Target offers seasonal positions across specialty sales, service & engagement, and general merchandise & food sales. Roles include Seasonal Guest Advocate, Seasonal General Merchandise Expert, Seasonal Fulfillment Expert, Seasonal Style Consultant, Seasonal Inbound Expert, Seasonal Food & Beverage Expert, and Seasonal Tech Consultant. Team members help guests discover the joy of everyday life through active selling, visual merchandising, welcoming service, product availability, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored suggestions and solutions through active selling and compelling visual merchandising presentations.
• Welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery.
• Ensure products are set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor.
• Stock, set, and sell Target products.
• Handle cash register operations accurately.
• Climb up and down ladders to access merchandise.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving items up to 40 pounds.
• Work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays with regular attendance.

Requirements

• Experience supporting a guest‑first culture and knowledge of guest service fundamentals.
• Understanding of retail business fundamentals such as department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency.
• Ability to execute daily/weekly workloads to support business priorities and sales goals.
