Compensation

Starting hourly rate: $16.50 USD per hour.

About the Role

Seasonal Specialty Sales Roles at Target involve specialized consultants who provide tailored suggestions and solutions through active selling and compelling visual‑merchandising presentations that inspire guests and build the basket. Seasonal Service & Engagement advocates focus on guest interaction and recovery, while Seasonal General Merchandise & Food Sales experts ensure products are set, in‑stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor.

These positions offer knowledge of guest‑service fundamentals, experience with retail business fundamentals (department sales trends, inventory management, process efficiency and improvement), and the chance to execute daily/weekly workloads that support business priorities and sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored product suggestions and solutions through active selling.
• Execute compelling visual‑merchandising presentations.
• Welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations, focusing on interaction and recovery.
• Ensure merchandise is set, in‑stock, accurately priced, and properly signed.
• Handle cash register operations accurately.
• Climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, frequently lifting or moving items up to 40 lb.
• Support a variety of seasonal roles, including Guest Advocate, General Merchandise Expert, Fulfillment Expert, Style Consultant, Inbound Expert, Food & Beverage Expert, and Tech Consultant.
