About the role

Target’s seasonal positions are focused on delivering a guest‑first experience through specialized sales, service, and merchandising. Roles include Seasonal Specialty Sales, Seasonal Service & Engagement, and Seasonal General Merchandise & Food Sales, where consultants provide tailored suggestions, maintain product presentation, and ensure a consistent in‑store experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide active selling and visual merchandising presentations that inspire guests and increase basket size.
• Welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations, handling guest interactions and recoveries.
• Ensure product is set, in‑stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor.
• Accurately handle cash register operations.
• Climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, frequently lifting or moving items up to 40 pounds.
• Support daily/weekly workload to meet business priorities and sales goals.
• Maintain flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Strong problem‑solving skills to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.

• Experience or interest in stocking, setting, and selling retail products.
• Physical ability to lift or move merchandise up to 40 pounds and climb ladders safely.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility for varied scheduling.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $16.00 USD per hour.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Regular attendance is required.
