About the role

Target’s seasonal positions focus on delivering a welcoming, inspiring, and rewarding experience for guests while supporting store operations. These roles provide knowledge of guest service fundamentals, experience in retail business fundamentals such as department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency, and practice executing daily/weekly workloads to support business priorities and sales goals.

• Seasonal Specialty Sales Roles: Specialized consultants who provide tailored suggestions and solutions through active selling and compelling visual merchandising presentations that inspire guests and build the basket.
• Seasonal Service & Engagement: Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery.
• Seasonal General Merchandise & Food Sales: Experts of operations, process, and efficiency who enable a consistent guest experience by ensuring product is set, in‑stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Stocking, setting, and selling Target products.
• Providing tailored suggestions and solutions through active selling and compelling visual merchandising.
• Welcoming, thanking, and exceeding guest service expectations.
• Ensuring products are properly set, in‑stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor.
• Executing daily/weekly workloads to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

Requirements

• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Skill to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi‑step processes.
• Accurately handle cash register operations.
• Climb up and down ladders.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds.
• Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, and holidays) and regular attendance.
