About the role
The Ginner role is primarily responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing gin equipment.
Responsibilities
- Check moisture content and trash levels of seed cotton prior to ginning.
- Assist in repairing equipment such as conveyor systems, trailers, and storage bins.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
- Analyze and resolve work problems, and/or assist workers in solving work problems.
- Perform same activities as supervised workers.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure that gin runs smoothly.
- Adhere to all safety requirements and maintain a safety-oriented mindset.
