About the role

Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain (PPAM) seeks a highly motivated and courteous individual for a part-time, seasonal opportunity. Under the guidance of professional staff, the Gateway Lead Specialist will obtain practical experience working in the tourism and hospitality industry at a world-renowned site. In this position, the Gateway Lead Specialist will be responsible for assisting in providing leadership for the daily operations at the gateway.

Responsibilities

  • Processing point-of-sale reports
  • Trubleshooting business operations technology
  • Serving as an authority to resolve guest complaints
  • Conducting radio communications
  • Assisting in completing a variety of reporting logs
  • Collecting fees and checking in reservations
  • Conducting complex cash register functions
  • Responding to general inquiries by answering phones and responding to emails
  • Supporting special events and activities
  • Maintaining cleanliness, general maintenance, and appearance of the gateway, public restrooms, and surrounding areas
  • Removing snow from gateway facilities walkways and entrances
  • Providing information on PPAM interpretation programs and special events for guests

Requirements

  • Experience leading and working in customer service environments
  • Experience working with cash handling and cash reconciliation
  • Experience working with point-of-sale systems and sales operations
  • Experience completing business operations reporting and documentation records

Qualifications

  • Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize duties in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage customer concerns and complaints
  • Experience conducting two-way radio communications
  • Experience working in the tourism and hospitality industry

Pay

$20.50 hourly

Schedule

Normal work hours require working at least one weekend day – either Saturday or Sunday. The schedule for this position will include one weekend day and some holidays. Shift times will vary depending on the season. There will typically be three to four, 8-hour shifts, totaling 24 to 32 hours scheduled each week. This is not a full-time position.
