About the role

Syft is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining core features that power our platform, working across the full stack to deliver high-quality experiences for our customers and bakers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and services
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and ship new features
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on reliability and performance
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap planning
• Mentor junior engineers and help foster a culture of learning and growth

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience with React or similar frontend frameworks
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control with Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with Python or Ruby is a plus
• Previous work in e-commerce or logistics technology
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Pay

$140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and location.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday with flexible start times. Remote work available within the United States.
