About the role

The position serves as the educator/programmer for Curt Gowdy’s Little House on the Park, located within Curt Gowdy State Park. The mission is to educate and inspire children to understand the importance of kindness in the world.

Essential Functions

• Re-create yourself with an inspiring career in Wyoming's outdoors!
• Work with the park and Cheryl Gowdy & family to promote and facilitate kindness programming for children and families who come to Little House events.
• Execute programs that inspire children to learn and behave with kindness.
• Work with youth ages 3-12 and their families.
• Example programs include story-time and kindness-oriented crafts.
• Work with a planned schedule and be flexible as different groups come and go throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Preference may be given to applicants who can work evenings, outdoors, and on a Friday through Sunday schedule.
• Must be passionate about the mission and vision and be able to connect program attendees to that vision.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Knowledge, skill in educating children
• Classroom management skills
• Public speaking and general public interaction

Necessary Special Requirements

• Physical Working Conditions: Work will be performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
