About the role
American Modern Insurance Group, Inc., a Munich Re company, is recruiting Seasonal CAT Adjusters to join our CAT team from April to October/November. This is a temporary, full-time position requiring travel for CAT deployments across the United States. As a CAT Adjuster, you will support customers during disasters.
Responsibilities
- Average 75% travel is expected.
- Handle assigned claims from start to finish, including investigation, documentation, coverage analysis, and subrogation/salvage assessment.
- Perform on-site inspections, including carrying and setting up a 40-pound ladder, walking on roofs, and accessing tight spaces.
- Provide prompt contact and timely adjustments to assigned claims.
Requirements
- Maintain adjuster licenses in FL, LA, TX, OK, NC, and SC, and fulfill continuing education requirements.
- Licenses held in DE, RI, WY, KY, CT, NH, NM, VT preferred.
- Previous field property claim handling experience, preferably field CAT property claims experience.
- Ability to perform physical inspections; climb roofs, stoop, bend, etc.
- Mobile home and Dwelling construction knowledge preferred.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work/industry experience.
- A clean driving record and valid driver's license are required.
- Proficiency in Cotality, Xactimate or similar estimating platforms.
- Industry training, coursework, certifications preferred (AIC, CPCU, SCLA).
- Ability to lift, carry, set-up, ascend and descend ladders in excess of 40 pounds.
- Ability to complete field inspections (scope, diagram, and estimate damages).
